Measure V: Renewing Our Commitment to Local Schools

Measure V renews the existing parcel tax supporting West Contra Costa Unified School District, protecting core academics, arts, and career technical programs while helping the district retain great teachers and maintain student mental health services. It keeps the current rate of 7.2¢ per building square foot, raising about $10.2 million annually for nine years, with senior exemptions and independent oversight. It requires a two-thirds vote to pass.

Proposition 4

Proposition 4, the Clean Money Proposition, works to get big money out of politics and restore trust in our elections. We endorsed this measure when it was known as SB42, and it's also backed by the League of Women Voters.
